It was a sun-splashed weekend, with temperatures more typical of October than November.
The official Twin Cities high temperatures (measured at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport) were 57 degrees on Saturday and 55 degrees on Sunday. The average Twin Cities high temperature is just 41 degrees this time of year.
Temperatures will be cooler this week.

Tuesday highs will be in the 30s in northern and central Minnesota, with 40s in much of the south:
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to be in the mid 40s on Wednesday, followed by mid 30s on Thanksgiving Day and lower 30s on Friday.
Shower chances
Scattered rain showers are possible Sunday evening in southwestern and south-central Minnesota. Later Sunday night, the shower chance expands to include west-central Minnesota.
On Monday, the best chance of rain showers will be in southern Minnesota plus western and north-central Minnesota. A brief sprinkle will be possible in the Twin Cities metro area.
Patchy rain showers and snow showers are possible Monday night into Tuesday morning in north-central and northeastern Minnesota plus northwestern Wisconsin. Parts of central Minnesota could see a few sprinkles or flurries late Monday night. We can’t rule out a sprinkle or a flurry in the Twin Cities metro area and west-central Wisconsin late Monday night and very early Tuesday.

The average snowfall total for the entire month of November is 6.8 inches in the Twin Cities. Since 1950, the lowest November snowfall total for the Twin Cities has been a trace of snow, in 2009 and 1963.
