Temperatures will be relatively mild Monday with cloudy skies. A cold front will bring the chance of rain and snow showers late Monday into Tuesday. Much colder air arrives by Thanksgiving.
Clouds return Monday, colder days ahead
Look for cloudier skies Monday. While it will be cooler than the weekend, it will still be above normal with highs ranging from the mid 40s south to near 40 north. We’ll also have more clouds around Monday.
A few light rain showers are possible west Monday and then statewide late Monday into Monday night and Tuesday as the first of two cold fronts moves across Minnesota.
There’s the possibility of snowfall in northeast Minnesota Tuesday as temperatures drop. A coating to as much as 1 inch is possible for portions of the Iron Range into the Arrowhead.
Temperatures will drop Tuesday into the 30s to near 40, with gusty northwest winds at 15 to 25 mph. Temperatures will rebound Wednesday, but only briefly as a second, more potent cold front drops temperatures for Thanksgiving into the weekend. We’ll see below normal highs and lows.
