With clearing skies it will be a cooler night so watch out for refreeze from the melting snow on road and sidewalk surfaces. Temperatures will soar into the 40s Wednesday with some sun.
Cooler overnight, then very mild
Skies are clearing out across the region and that will lead to colder overnight lows Tuesday night; 20s can be expected south with some teens in northeast Minnesota. Watch for all those wet surfaces due to snow melt to refreeze.
We’re in for a couple of very mild days Wednesday and Thursday. Look for sun through a mix of some mid and high clouds Wednesday. Temperatures will be in the 40s to low 50s in southern Minnesota, 30s north.
Thursday will be the warmest day of the week likely for most. Highs will be near 50 in the Twin Cities and into the 50s for portions of southern and southwestern Minnesota.
A clipper system pushes through Friday bringing rain and snow showers to northern Minnesota with possible accumulations.
That clipper will also bring in colder air, dropping temperatures to seasonable levels for the weekend which will be highs in the 30s south to 20s north.
