Much of Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin will have fog Sunday evening into Monday morning. The fog will be dense in many areas and many areas will see some freezing fog.

The National Weather Service has extended a dense fog advisory from now through 9 a.m. Monday for a wide swath of Minnesota, including the Twin Cities metro area:

Additional counties may be added to the dense fog advisory Sunday night and Monday morning.

Updated forecast information will be posted by the National Weather Service offices in the 

Portions of northern and central Minnesota and western Wisconsin could see occasional scattered showers and a bit of drizzle Monday afternoon and evening. Portions of northern Minnesota could also see a bit of freezing drizzle and a few snowflakes Monday evening.

Parts of the Twin Cities metro area could see passing shower anytime from about mid-afternoon on Monday into Monday evening. A passing flurry is possible late Monday night. Check forecast updates.

The average Twin Cities high temperature is 24 degrees on Jan. 29. Metro area highs are expected to be around 40 Monday afternoon.

Monday highs will be in the 40s across much of the southern half of Minnesota plus west-central Wisconsin:

Tuesday highs will be in the 30s in most areas:

Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to be in the upper 40s on Wednesday, followed by mid-40s Thursday then lower 40s on Friday. Above-normal temperatures are expected next weekend and through the following week.
