Storms start to move out of Minnesota, continue for western Wisconsin

Wednesday will be the last day of spotty showers for a bit. We’ll have showers early and then possibly again later in the day. Thursday and Friday will be dry before heat builds for the weekend.

Spotty showers, then dry Thursday and Friday before heat builds 

Wednesday will be the last day for at least a couple days of any potential rainfall. We’ll see some spotty showers move through early this morning and then later in the day some isolated storms could again pop up. Skies will otherwise be partly cloudy.  

Highs will be in the mid-80s for much of the state Wednesday afternoon.

Overnight Wednesday night, any isolated showers will dissipate with mainly clear skies developing. Overnight lows will be mostly in the 60s with cooler readings in northeastern Minnesota. 

Thursday and Friday should be dry and sunny for the vast majority of Minnesota. 

High temperatures will gradually warm into the mid to upper 80s by Friday ahead of weekend heat. Highs Saturday, Sunday and even Monday look to be 90 degrees or higher with muggy dew points. Sunday looks to be the hottest of the three days. 

The heat index could peak in the upper 90s to near 100 Sunday afternoon for southern and southwestern Minnesota.

There will be some isolated thunder chances at times over the weekend: namely Friday night into early Saturday and again late Sunday into early Monday but most will remain dry. 

Timing out these quickly moving, minor disturbances more than 48 hours in advance is difficult, so stay tuned.
