Fall-like air blows into Minnesota Thursday and Friday

In the wake of the recent disturbance, very cool air is blowing into Minnesota. Highs will be 10 to 15 degrees cooler than normal for Thursday and Friday.
Late September air moves in for Thursday and Friday
An upper-level low (essentially a chunk of very cool air aloft) is spinning into northern Minnesota. It will bring back clouds and some showers and an area of unusually cool air for early August.
Thursday and Friday will be almost chilly by early August standards. Highs Thursday will be mostly in the 60s with a few lucky spots reaching the low 70s in southern Minnesota. Those readings are 10 to 20 degrees cooler than normal and are more typical for late September.
In addition to the cool air, it will be breezy and even blustery at times Thursday and Friday. Northwest winds will blow at 10 to 25 mph with higher gusts.

As mentioned, there will be more clouds across northern Minnesota with more sun south. Northern Minnesota will also see some lingering, pop-up showers.
Lows Thursday night will be in the 40s across northern Minnesota and the low to mid-50s south.
Friday will be more of the same before temperatures gradually warm up some through the weekend. Northeastern Minnesota may not even reach 60 degrees Friday afternoon.
The weekend looks mainly dry with highs in the 70s. Eighty-degree temperatures look set to return by the middle of next week, at least for southern Minnesota.
The cooler-than-normal air will result in fairly stable, dry weather overall for the next seven days. Forecast rainfall over the period is pretty minimal.
