Rain chances will increase Saturday night into Sunday morning, on the backside of a low pressure system as it moves towards the Great Lakes region. Precipitation amounts of between a tenth and a quarter of an inch are possible.

Our atmosphere is trying so hard to saturate with this incoming low pressure system. As the first wave moves through, rainfall amounts have so far totaled only a few hundredths of an inch.

Temperatures Saturday night will drop into the lower to mid-40s, which are typical high temperatures for early November! 

Saturday night, the low-pressure system will track toward the Great Lakes region, and as it exits, showers will become more widespread. 

Rain chances will taper off early Sunday, as a dry cold front moves along the Canadian border later in the day. This front will bring northwest winds and usher in a cooler airmass for Monday.

Ahead of the dry front, Sunday’s highs will warm into the lower to mid-50s.

Cooler temperatures on Monday will reach the mid-40s, a brief return to seasonal averages. 

As it stands, forecast models are indicating another low-pressure system approaching from the south. Central and eastern Minnesota, along with western Wisconsin, may see precipitation in the form of rain as it moves through. It’s still too early to pin down exact amounts or timing, but any additional rain is certainly welcome as we move into the week. We'll keep an eye on it as the forecast evolves!
