Record-breaking temperatures are possible on Monday, with highs reaching the mid-60s and 70s in the west. A cold front will bring temperatures back to seasonal levels on Tuesday, before warming up again into the 60s and 70s by Friday.

A record-breaking airmass will bring record-high temperatures on Monday, with highs reaching the mid to upper 60s. The current record of 66, set in 2015 and 2012, may be surpassed.

The warm weather will combine with very dry conditions, leading to some critical fire weather conditions. Relative humidity values drop to 20 to 30 percent.

A cold front moving through late Monday into Monday night will bring strong winds to northwestern Minnesota. A high wind warning is in effect from noon to 10 p.m. on Monday, with sustained winds of 30-40 mph and gusts reaching up to 60 mph.

After a brief cooldown to the mid-50s on Wednesday, temperatures will continue to rise, with the 60s returning on Thursday and Friday.
