Tranquil Tuesday
A cloudy start to our Tuesday, with high pressure building in and clearing skies moving from west to east throughout the day.

Temperatures will be cooler, ranging from the upper 50s to the mid 40s in the Arrowhead area. By Wednesday, temperatures will return to the lower to mid-60s.

Breezy northwest winds behind yesterday’s cold front will keep things blustery through the first half of Tuesday. As high pressure builds in, winds will gradually diminish by the afternoon.

Clear skies Tuesday night will allow temperatures to drop into the mid to upper 30s statewide, with some chilly upper 20s in northeastern Minnesota. A light south wind will develop overnight.

Thursday marks our next chance for precipitation across the state. Rain showers are possible starting late Wednesday into Thursday.

Forecast models are indicating a significant warm-up to start May, with temperatures likely rising into the 70s and even 80s. The Climate Prediction Center’s 6–10 day temperature outlook indicates a higher likelihood of above-average temperatures.
