Warmer and drier than normal this week
We’re in a stagnant pattern with an upper-level ridge parked over the north central United States thanks to two “stuck” upper-level lows in the southwest and southeast.
Until this pattern progresses, probably not until sometime next week, we’ll remain warmer and drier than normal in Minnesota.

We have a gorgeous day Monday with lots of sunshine and above-normal temperatures. Highs will be in the 70s for most of the state except the North Shore where it will be in the 50s and 60s right near Lake Superior.

Red flag warnings are also posted for northwestern Minnesota Monday due to elevated fire threat conditions with dry, breezy weather expected.

A weak cool front pushes across the state Tuesday, shifting wind directions and creating isolated to spotty showers for northern Minnesota.

Highs Tuesday will still be very warm ahead of the front in southern Minnesota, near 80 degrees. Northwestern Minnesota will see highs in the 60s.

Behind the cool front it’ll be cooler Wednesday statewide. Highs will be in the low 70s for southern Minnesota with mainly 60s north.

We’ll see warmer temperatures build back in for the end of the week and a weekend with highs well into the 70s to near 80 degrees once again.
Overall, little or no measurable precipitation is expected over the next seven days:
