Weak cool front Tuesday; above-normal temps continue
A weak cool front is sweeping across Minnesota Tuesday with little to no impactful weather. An isolated shower or two is possible only in northern Minnesota.

We’ll see sunshine otherwise with cooler readings behind the front in northwestern Minnesota. Afternoon highs will be in the low 80s ahead the front for the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.

We’ll see a temperature drop of about 5 to 10 degrees Wednesday and Thursday, but we’ll remain above normal and with continued mostly sunny skies. Highs Wednesday and Thursday will be mostly in the low to mid-70s south with 60s north.

Friday brings a likely return to 80-degree highs for at least southern and western Minnesota before another cool front drops temperatures only slightly for the weekend.

The only other isolated shower chance (besides Tuesday for northern Minnesota) will come Friday night with the cool front passage.
Temperatures will continue to be well above normal into next week. In fact, we’ll be watching the potential for heat to build next week. Highs will be well into the 80s with the possibility of 90 degrees, especially in western Minnesota by mid to late week next week.
