The return of sunshine will warm things up
Clouds will continue to decrease from north to south Thursday, leading to a much warmer day for central and Minnesota than the last couple of days. We’ll have brighter skies overall into the weekend with just some occasional fair weather cumulus clouds and high clouds drifting through.

Highs Thursday afternoon will be in the 60s pretty much statewide, which is near-normal north but still a few degrees below normal for southern Minnesota.

It’ll be another chilly night with 30s in northeastern Minnesota and 40s elsewhere under partly cloudy skies.

Another frost advisory is in effect overnight Thursday for northeastern Minnesota, where temperatures will again be frosty in places.

Friday will be another rinse-and-repeat day with partly cloudy skies and highs back in the 60s. Those readings are near normal for northern Minnesota but a little cooler than normal for southern Minnesota.

The holiday weekend still looks pretty decent with slightly cooler-than-normal conditions, mostly in the 60s to near 70 degrees and just some isolated to spotty rain chances.

Summerlike temperatures will be back next week with highs in the 70s and even 80s returning to southern Minnesota by mid to late week.
