It’s a warm start to meteorological summer, with temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 80s. Monday will bring even hotter conditions, with highs reaching into the 90s, along with the potential for strong storms. A cool down is expected by Tuesday with temperatures returning to the 60s and 70s.

Hazy heat

Our smoky skies persist due to ongoing wildfires in Canada, which continue to send smoke aloft and occasionally bring it down to the surface. An air-quality alert remains in effect for the state until Monday at 6 p.m., as the surface smoke levels continue to pose concerns.
