A cold front is on the move, pushing southeast Saturday night and bringing scattered showers and a few thunderstorms to the region. As it passes through, expect a brief cooldown. While the rain may be hit or miss, the cooler air behind the front will offer a temporary break before warmer conditions return next week.
A pleasant Saturday night is expected across much of the state before a more robust cold front begins pushing southeast, reaching the metro area after midnight. Behind the front, temperatures will dip into the 50s and 60s overnight.
Lingering showers will continue on Sunday, accompanied by slightly cooler temperatures in the 60s and 70s. Northern Minnesota can expect increased cloud cover throughout the day, along with a higher chance for more widespread and steady rainfall.
A slightly cooler temperature trend continues into Monday, with breezy northwest winds and highs only reaching the 60s.
Starting Wednesday, our weather pattern will shift toward a more summery feel, bringing above-average temperatures in the 80s along with multiple chances for heavy rain and some stronger storms.
