The week kicks off with noticeably cooler weather, as temperatures run about 10 degrees below average for this time of year. Multiple rounds of storms are possible late in the week, with the potential for heavy rainfall and a few strong thunderstorms.
Cool start to the week
Increased cloud cover and isolated shower chances in the forecast for Sunday night as our temperatures dip into the upper 40s to low 50s.

Winds will remain a bit breezy through Monday with west-northwest winds between 10-20 mph.

Temperatures will stay in the 60s with partial clearing, about 10 degrees below our average high.

Another chance for afternoon diurnal showers is expected, mainly across eastern Minnesota into western Wisconsin.

Tuesday brings more sunshine with seasonal temperatures warming into the upper 70s to low 80s.

Starting mid-week through Friday, we have the potential for multiple rounds of strong storms and heavy rain. A warm front moving north will bring showers and thunderstorms to southern Minnesota on Wednesday, with more widespread storms possible through Friday. Our temperatures will warm into the 70s and 80s during this timeframe. Precipitation amounts could be impressive, but it’s still too early to pin down exact totals.
