Monday will again be cool, breezy and unsettled with spotty showers. Sunshine and warmer temperatures return Tuesday. The pattern becomes more active late Wednesday into Friday.
Spotty showers Monday, sun Tuesday; active weather late week
An upper-level low spinning over the region will generate a mix of clouds and sun and more isolated to spotty rain showers Monday. Keep an umbrella handy, especially for the eastern half of Minnesota into western Wisconsin.

Highs Monday will be cool again, mostly in the 60s with portions of northwestern Minnesota remaining in just the 50s. It will also be breezy with northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Sunshine is back Tuesday along with warmer temperatures, in the 80s for much of southern Minnesota Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday will again be warm, but clouds will increase ahead of what’s looking to be an active pattern shaping up late Wednesday into Friday with multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms possible.
The first rounds will develop storms late Wednesday ahead of a nearly stalled warm front near the Minnesota-Iowa border. Another round of more significant weather develops late Thursday into Friday morning.

Rainfall could exceed 2 inches in southern Minnesota in total Wednesday through Friday. Northern Minnesota looks to get significantly less.

Things will dry out and brighten up for the upcoming weekend. Clouds linger some Saturday but Sunday will see more sun with temperatures back to near 80 degrees Sunday.
