A cold front is bringing relief after a few hot, steamy days. More storms are possible Monday afternoon in southeastern Minnesota Monday. Wednesday and Thursday look soggy with more rain.
Advancing cool front produces showers, storms with falling dew points behind it
Early morning showers and storms will push east and largely dissipate ahead of a cold front that is advancing across the state Monday morning.
With the placement of the front in southeastern Minnesota, more storms will develop there Monday afternoon and evening. There could be some lingering showers in southern Minnesota Tuesday with an isolated shower or storm possible in the Twin Cities.

Storms that develop in southeastern Minnesota Monday afternoon could be strong to severe. There’s a slight risk (level 2 of 5) of severe storms in southeastern Minnesota into western Wisconsin Monday into Monday night.

Highs Monday will be cooler, mostly in the low 80s southeast to just around 70 northwest, but more importantly dew points will fall through the day to much more comfortable levels by the evening and overnight.

We’re in for a wet midweek. The next disturbances will bring waves of rain and thunder, developing for Wednesday morning into Thursday.

Significant rainfall is possible across portions of southern Minnesota. Up to 1 to 3 inches of new rainfall is possible with locally higher amounts of 4 or more inches.

The weekend looks better but still unsettled with highs warming back into the 80s.
