Sticky summer day
We're wrapping up June with a typical sticky summer weekend. Temperatures and dew points will climb on Saturday, creating a muggy and potentially stormy setup.
High temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to low 90s, with lower 80s expected across northern Minnesota.

Dew points will become oppressive once again, with readings in the low 70s. Heat indices are forecasted to reach between 95 and 100 degrees.

A slight risk for strong storms is possible Saturday afternoon into the evening for central and southern Minnesota.

Storms are expected to develop quickly this afternoon, with supercells possible early on, bringing threats of tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds. As the evening progresses, storms may cluster, increasing the risk of heavy rainfall and localized flooding.

A cold front will bring temperatures back to seasonal averages on Sunday, with highs in the low to mid-80s and dew points ranging from the upper 60s to low 70s.

Another slight risk for storms is expected Sunday, mainly across southeastern Minnesota. Storms will develop along the front during the afternoon and evening, with damaging winds and large hail as the primary threats.

High pressure moves in Monday, bringing quieter and sunnier conditions to start the workweek. Temperatures will settle around seasonal averages, ranging from the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.
