An advancing cold front will drop dew points into the 50s, but there’s still a chance for stronger storms to develop in southeastern Minnesota tonight. The start of the holiday week is looking quieter with seasonal temperatures.
Dew point drop
A noticeable drop in dew points follows a cold front moving southeast across the state. By early Monday, dew points will fall into the 50s and low 60s, bringing a more comfortable feel to the air.

Temperatures tonight will fall into the low to mid-60s across southern Minnesota, with cooler 50s expected in the north.

There is still a slight risk for severe storms in southeastern Minnesota with the passage of the cold front. The main threats will be strong winds and hail.

Some showers and thunderstorms will move from South Dakota into southern Minnesota by the morning hours. These are expected to stay below severe levels.

Monday will bring the possibility of a few afternoon diurnal showers, mainly focused across northern Minnesota.
Seasonal temperatures return Monday, with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and more comfortable dew points. Northwest winds behind the front will be a bit breezy, ranging from 10 to 20 mph.

Quieter weather and seasonal temperatures are expected through Thursday, before our next weather system begins to take shape around the 4th of July.
