We get a brief break Tuesday from the more humid air of recent days. Look for lots of sunshine. Temperatures and humidity increase this week with some storm chances, too.

Beautiful first day of July; steamy conditions to end the week

We’ll have lots of sunshine and seasonable temperatures Tuesday. Dew points also dip into the 50s and low 60s, making it more comfortable and less humid than the last few days. Highs will be mostly in the low to mid-80s statewide.

Wednesday will be another very nice day for most but dew points will increase a bit in central and southern Minnesota.

The increase in moisture along with a couple disturbances southwest and north will result in some spotty storms already late Tuesday night into early Wednesday in far northern and southwestern Minnesota.

There will also be some isolated activity Tuesday afternoon across central Minnesota.

Highs Wednesday will be well into the 80s with upper 80s across much of southern Minnesota, a few degrees above average.

Temperatures and dew points steadily increase toward the Fourth of July holiday. We could be near 90 degrees by Friday with dew points back in the tropical low 70s. That will lead to the chance of some storms, especially Friday night and Saturday as a cool front moves through.
