As the cold front moves east, we can expect quiet skies for Saturday evening. Comfortable dew points will set the stage for a perfect end to the holiday weekend, with sunshine returning on Sunday and seasonable temperatures.
Drop in dew points
We’ve already felt the drop in temperatures, but we’re still waiting for the drop in dew points. Lower dew points, in the 50s and 60s, will push in from the northwest through Saturday night into early Sunday morning.

Saturday night, temperatures will dip into the mid-50s across the north, while the southwest portion of the state will see mid-60s as higher dew points linger in that region.

Sunday is shaping up to be the perfect way to end the holiday weekend. Expect plenty of sunshine, comfortable dew points, and seasonal temperatures in the 70s and low 80s.

Unfortunately, wildfire smoke from Canada will make a return across the state Sunday into Monday, bringing air quality levels back into the yellow (moderate) category.

The first full week of July is shaping up to be a textbook summer forecast. Expect seasonal temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s, plenty of sunshine, and daily chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
