A refreshing break in our dew points for Sunday, accompanied by sunny skies to wrap up the holiday weekend. Temperatures will range from the upper 70s to low 80s, but air quality concerns are on the rise across the state due to wildfire smoke.
Scenic Sunday
Sunday is shaping up to be what Saturday’s weather should have been! Lots of blue sky and seasonal temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Our dew points dropped significantly overnight, with readings in the 50s and near 60 degrees expected to dominate Sunday. While much of the state will enjoy a refreshing start, southern Minnesota may begin the day a bit stickier as dew points gradually move south.

Increasing concerns from wildfire smoke will push air quality levels to moderate (yellow) for both Sunday and Monday.

The work week will kick off with mostly sunny skies and temperatures returning to seasonal levels in the upper 70s to low 80s. Dew points will remain comfortably in the 50s and 60s, keeping conditions mild throughout the day.

A frontal system will move through the Dakotas on Monday, reaching northwestern Minnesota by midday and pushing into western Minnesota by Monday night.

Showers and thunderstorms associated with the frontal system could bring large hail and damaging winds. As a result, a marginal risk for severe weather remains across most of the state, with the exception of southeastern Minnesota.

Temperatures will remain in the upper 70s to low 80s through Wednesday, offering pleasant conditions before warmer, more humid air and stormy weather make their return later in the week.
