Clouds will decrease Thursday morning, making way for a pleasant afternoon and Friday. It will still be muggy but not as humid as dew points drop a bit. The weekend looks steamy again.
Clouds and dew points decrease Thursday into Friday
After a few lingering showers early in southeast Minnesota and western Wisconsin, most of us will be dry Thursday with decreasing clouds making way for plenty of sun and more of it Friday.
Temperatures will be just a little cooler with highs ranging from the mid-70s northwest to the mid-80s south Thursday afternoon. Dew points will drop a bit too, from the 70s to the 60s, but not quite to a comfortable range.
Air quality alerts are also in effect for most of the state through Friday due to the return of wildfire smoke from Canada.

Friday will be warm and muggy with plenty of sunshine. Highs will be in the 80s for most of the state.
The weekend looks to bring back the steamy air mass that’ll be waiting for us just south of the state. Dew points will return to the more humid 70s again by Saturday and stick around through Monday, likely.
Temperatures also will be increasing again for the weekend. Highs will be well into the 80s Saturday, close to 90-degrees in western Minnesota. By Sunday, much of southern Minnesota will see highs in the low 90s again.
There will be some isolated or spotty storms in northern Minnesota Saturday and a statewide chance at storms late Sunday into Monday as cool front moves through once again.
Cooler and drier air will finally settle in for the middle of next week. Highs will cool off into the 70s to near 80-degrees and dew points will fall into the much more comfortable 50s.
