More spotty storms are possible overnight north. It will be very hot and and humid Sunday. Statewide chances of storms develop Sunday evening and overnight.

Triple digit heat indices Sunday followed by storms and cooler midweek air 

It will be a very warm and humid overnight. Lows will drop only into the 70s south to 60s north with dew points in the 70s. 

Skies will be clear to partly cloudy in southern Minnesota but northern Minnesota could see some isolated to spotty storms again develop and track east into early Sunday morning. An isolated midday storm is also possible in the northern half of the state. 

It will be hot and humid Sunday with heat indices in the 100 to 105-degree range Sunday afternoon. An extreme heat warning is in effect Sunday afternoon and evening for the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota. Heat advisories and extreme heat watches are posted elsewhere. 

Afternoon highs Sunday will be in the low to mid 90s across southern Minnesota Sunday and again on Monday we’ll likely be near 90-degrees with more high dew points, in the 70s. 

The first of two cool fronts moves through the state Sunday night touching off more scattered storms Sunday evening and overnight, statewide into early Monday morning. 

There is a slight risk (level 2 of 5) forecast for potential severe storms late Sunday. Monitor conditions late Sunday as the risk for severe weather is potentially increasing Sunday evening.  

Another front moves through the region Tuesday, touching off more showers, but will also finally draw in cooler and drier air. Highs Wednesday will be mostly in the 70s with a drop in dew points into the much more comfortable 50s.
