A foggy start to the day will give way to clearing skies by the afternoon. An air quality alert remains in effect through Tuesday. Our temperatures will stay near seasonal averages through midweek.
Air quality alert issued
A low-pressure system in the Canadian provinces will bring smoke back into the region on its backside. The smoke will move from west to east throughout Sunday and linger into early Tuesday.
An air quality alert is in effect from 9 a.m. Sunday through 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Foggy start followed by some clearing
Areas of dense fog cover the eastern and southeastern parts of the state early Sunday. The fog will gradually lift as the morning progresses.
Cloud cover will decrease throughout the day, except in southeastern Minnesota.
Our stalled front will continue to bring showers and thunderstorms to the extreme southeastern corner of the state through the afternoon.
Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s across northern Minnesota, with lower 80s expected in the southern half and far eastern Minnesota, including the Duluth area.
