Eden Prairie police say a woman and two children were injured — one of them critically — after they were hit by a car while crossing a street on Thursday night. The driver fled the scene.
It happened just before 8:30 p.m. on Mitchell Road at Chestnut Drive, in a residential neighborhood south of Highway 212. Police said the woman and four young children — two of them being pulled in a wagon — were crossing Mitchell Road at a crosswalk.
A white sedan traveling north hit the woman and the two kids in the wagon, then kept going.
The woman and two injured children were taken to a Minneapolis hospital. Authorities said one of the children had critical injuries. The names of the victims have not been released.
Eden Prairie police haven’t released any more details about the suspect vehicle, but they’re asking anyone with information on the crash to contact authorities.
