The streak of ideal state fair weather keeps rolling, with more sunshine and seasonable temps on the way. A few light rain showers are possible Friday, but nothing that should soak your cheese curds, or disrupt your fair day plans. Expect highs in the mid to upper 70s, a slight uptick in humidity, and light winds out of the east to southeast.
Cold front moving in – staying dry today
Our ‘back door’ cold front will slowly push southward throughout the day, but don’t expect much more than a few extra clouds, no rain is expected. The front will stall Thursday night through Friday night over the mid-Mississippi River Valley.
Eastern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities metro, might see a few isolated showers Friday as a weak disturbance moves through.

State fair weather continues to shine
Our fantastic stretch of state fair weather rolls on. Temperatures through Labor Day will climb into the mid to upper 70s, right on track for this time of year, typical for late August and early September.
You’ll also start to feel a slight uptick in humidity, with dew points rising into the lower 60s. Still comfortable, but a bit more noticeable than earlier in the week.
Light east to southeast winds will continue through the weekend, all thanks to a large high-pressure system sitting just south of Hudson Bay. This setup is keeping skies mostly clear and conditions pleasant—perfect for enjoying everything the fair has to offer.
