This weekend brings a welcome return of warm temperatures and sunny skies, creating ideal conditions to enjoy the early emergence of fall colors across parts of the state.
False fall into summer’s encore
Our first taste of false fall is behind us after a stretch of 60-degree days last week. Now, a warm wave of temperatures is moving in for the upcoming weekend with highs climbing into the 80s and even reaching the 90s in some spots.
The climatological averages for the Twin Cities around Sept. 13-14 typically feature highs near 74 and lows around 56.
Our dew points will also return to the sticky 60s during this time frame, adding a bit of summerlike humidity to the warm temperatures.
