Early showers give way to mild, cloudy Saturday

Spotty showers will move out early Saturday morning, giving way to a mostly cloudy but mild afternoon. Temperatures will climb a bit above average, making it a comfortable day to get outside and take in the peak fall colors across the region.

Showers end early, cloudy skies remain

Early Saturday showers will taper off by late morning to early afternoon, producing only light rainfall amounts generally ranging from a hundredth to a few tenths of an inch.

After the rain moves out, skies will remain mostly cloudy through the afternoon, though northern Minnesota can expect the most sunshine.

Temperatures will climb a bit above average for late October, with mid-50s expected in the Twin Cities metro area and mid to upper 50s across much of the state. The warmest spot will be the Red River Valley, where highs are forecasted to reach the low 60s.

While it won’t be a bright, sunny day, conditions will be mild enough to enjoy outdoor activities and take in the vibrant fall colors, which are at their peak across the Twin Cities.
