It's one of those days where it's deceiving to see a high of 16 degrees because we may not get there until 11 p.m.
Temperatures will rise slowly, leaving us in the single digits into Thursday afternoon. The warmer air will be driven by a south wind with gusts up to 25 mph.
Lows are also different for Thursday night as temperatures continue to rise. It'll be much warmer at 6 a.m. Friday than what we'll see Thursday.
Friday morning bus stop temperatures should be in the 20s. By Friday afternoon we could even see low 30s in southern Minnesota.

Snow showers in northern Minnesota Thursday afternoon and evening could cause slippery roads. Widespread snow showers arrive from the west late Thursday night and taper off through the afternoon on Friday.
Similar to the other day, this round could bring just enough for potentially slick travel with amounts staying generally under 1 inch.
Yet another system rolls through on Saturday, this time with a southerly track. The Twin Cities will be grazed by snow chances. Chances and amounts increase near and south of Mankato and Marshall where a couple of inches are possible.
That system also reopens the gates to cold air. Highs stay in teens Saturday, we'll bottom out with single digits and teens below zero Saturday night, then highs will only be in the single digits on Sunday.
The active pattern continues next week with more opportunities for snow.
