Yet another round of snow will fall Saturday into Sunday, this time in southern Minnesota. More cold air moves in behind for tonight and Sunday. There are more chances at snow next week.
More snow south Saturday followed by cold air and more snow chances next week
The latest round of snow is on the way for southern Minnesota Saturday. Snow showers will develop in southwest Minnesota by midday and expand east across southern Minnesota Saturday afternoon into Saturday night.
There are winter weather advisories and winter storm warnings posted for southern Minnesota into Iowa Saturday into Saturday night.
Areas along I-90 can expect up to 3 to 6 inches of snowfall Saturday into Saturday night. Totals will quickly drop off as you move north.
Colder air is set to move in behind the system for the whole state Saturday night into early Monday. Overnight lows tonight will be subzero north and west.
Temps Sunday will struggle to reach 10-degrees with most remaining in the single digits. We will have some sunshine however.
We’re briefly warmer by Tuesday but the overall cold and active pattern largely continues next week. A few more systems could bring more snow Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
