It’ll be a cold overnight but clouds will increase, keeping temps up from where they could fall. More snow showers are possible Tuesday and Wednesday followed by colder air.
A couple more clipper systems Tuesday, Wednesday followed by more cold
It’ll be a cold night with subzero lows for most of central and northern Minnesota. The Twin Cities and southern Minnesota should remain above zero. Clouds will increase later in the night, preventing temperatures from dropping to where they otherwise could.
We get a bump up in temperatures Tuesday thanks to the incoming clipper system. Highs will be in the low 30s across southern Minnesota with 20s and teens north.
That clipper system will bring more snow showers to northern Minnesota and east central Minnesota into western Wisconsin. Another clipper system moves in Wednesday with a track that will be a bit more into central Minnesota.

Most snowfall will be confined to northern Minnesota where an inch or two is possible with just a dusting to maybe a half inch in the Twin Cities.
The second clipper Wednesday brings under swath of snowfall from northwest through central and southeast Minnesota.
It will all be followed by colder air for the New Year. Thursday will see highs mostly in the teens and single digits.
Temps modify to seasonable levels by the weekend, mostly in the 20s and teens to perhaps even near 30 by Sunday.
