After negotiations, prayer camp near Whipple building to close midweek

Leaders and residents of the Indigenous-led prayer camp walk back toward the encampment after greeting the 25 Dakota Men near Mni Owe Sni in Minneapolis on March 6. The camp, established across from the Whipple Federal Building as a place for prayer and solidarity with families affected by immigration enforcement, faced closure after a “Notice to Vacate” issued by the U.S. Department of the Interior, prompting some residents to begin dismantling tents and removing belongings from the site.
