Hermann the German Monument stands guard while overlooking the Minnesota River Valley in New Ulm, Minn. It's approaching 129 years and is in need of repairs after sustaining water damage over the years. The city is looking for state funding, grants and other streams to help fund the rehabilitation of the historic monument.
