Tariff refunds should prioritize small and family-owned businesses before large corporations, since small businesses paid more for everyday goods while the illegal tariffs were in effect, Minnesota State Auditor Julie Blaha told MPR News.
The Trump administration on Monday began accepting refund requests for tariffs that were struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court in February.
Blaha, a Democrat, spoke with MPR News host Clay Masters about the need to change the tariff refund system.
