Meet Clay Masters
Clay Masters is a senior politics reporter for MPR News.
Before MPR News, he worked for Iowa Public Radio newsroom for nearly 12 years, first as a statehouse correspondent and then moving on in 2014 to serving as lead political reporter and host of IPR's Morning Edition. Clay won numerous awards for his coverage of the Iowa caucuses including a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for the podcast Caucus Land.
Clay is a native of Nebraska where he got his start in public broadcasting at Nebraska Public Media after graduating with a degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
