Candidates for Minnesota’s open U.S. House seat face off in debate

There are eight congressional districts in the state of Minnesota, and seven of those are in districts where an incumbent is running for reelection.

Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District is the lone open seat. Republican state Sen. Eric Pratt and DFLer Matt Little, a former state senator, are the candidates vying to represent the district.

Both candidates stated their policy beliefs in an MPR News debate. All Things Considered host Clay Masters and the politics team analyzed what was said, as well as state of Minnesota’s other top races.
