Temperatures start to warm up Thursday into next week. If you’re looking for rain for any lawns or new gardens, it will be spotty and light.
Temperatures trend upward with little precipitation ahead
We start to warm up a bit Thursday after a couple of very chilly and frosty days. Look for a mix of clouds and sunshine with highs in the low 60s across central Minnesota. Lingering chill will keep highs just in the 40s in the Arrowhead.
The first of a couple of weak disturbances is moving through the region Thursday. It will touch off a few isolated to spotty showers, mainly in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Temperatures Friday will be even warmer, near 70 degrees across southern Minnesota. Those readings are actually a few degrees above normal for a nice change.
The weekend looks to bring seasonable temperatures with highs mostly in the 60s in southern Minnesota with 50s north. The next weak disturbance will touch off a few spotty showers Friday night into early Saturday but will yield little in the way of measurable rainfall.
Temperatures next week continue their upward trend. It may even feel summerlike late next week.
