The sun is setting for Minnesota's Sun Country Airlines. On Thursday, the Las Vegas-based Allegiant Airlines completed its purchase of Sun Country.

It's been a turbulent time for the budget airline industry following the recent shutdown of rival Spirit Airlines. With summer quickly approaching, many are wondering how expensive flights are going to get.
