If you thought the recent sunshine and warmth were the start of something semi-permanent, you might be in for a rude awakening come Wednesday morning. A freeze warning and frost advisory cover most of the state.

Have you done some planting already? Time to get those blankets out for overnight cover into Wednesday morning.
Some isolated freezing fog is even possible in the far north and near Lake Superior. That could very briefly lead to slippery roads right around dawn on Wednesday.

Memorial Day looks dry
By the middle of the week, we’re a shade more optimistic for sunshine in patches along with a slow and subtle warming trend heading into Memorial Day Weekend.
For the Twin Cities, that means more sunshine Wednesday with highs in the lower to mid-60s. Temperatures will continue to rise to the upper 60s and perhaps near 70 degrees on Friday.
Friday to Friday night is the more unsettled part of the weekend.
As of now, the best chance for rain is Friday night into Saturday morning. There will also be a few isolated to scattered showers and storms during the day on Saturday, but we’re not looking at an all day deal or washout.
The better news for Memorial Day is that we’re looking dry and mild, perfect for any outdoor plans.
