House Speaker Lisa Demuth and businessman Kendall Qualls will move on to a fifth round of balloting at the Minnesota Republican convention.
Both are vying for the party’s endorsement in the race for governor.
On a fourth ballot, Demuth received 42.4 percent of the vote while Qualls got 35.8 percent. Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow, received 21.4 percent. He won’t move on to the next round as the party rules stipulate only the top two vote getters continue after the fourth ballot.
The threshold to get the endorsement is 60 percent.
