School bus carrying a dozen children crashes into Hamline University

Hamline University closed its St. Paul campus Tuesday afternoon after a school bus traveling south on Snelling Avenue crashed into the Robbins Science Center.
The St. Paul Police Department said about a dozen children were on board the bus when it ran into the building. Three children were transported to Children’s Minnesota and the driver was taken to Regions Hospital, all with minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, police said.
Hamline spokesperson Amy Pak said no faculty, staff or students were injured.
Hamline University urged people to avoid the area while emergency responders assess the situation and damage.
Several streets near the crash site have been temporarily closed while police investigate.
