A new ballot initiative in St. Paul may soon give renters the ability to charge their landlords for necessary repairs. For months, the Safe Homes St. Paul campaign has been collecting signatures, hoping to get a right-to-repair ordinance on St. Paul's November ballot.
The organization achieved that goal on Thursday, June 6, 2026.
