Women college coaches face double standards, new U of M study says

A new University of Minnesota research study concludes that women college coaches are exposed to scrutiny and overburdened by double standards in the industry, and it gives Minnesota a B grade when it comes to women coaching women’s teams.

Researchers for the Women in College Coaching Report Card also found a decline in the percentage of women head coaches in college after 13 years of progress.

Nicole LaVoi, director for the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport, spoke with MPR News host Emily Bright about the women in college coaching report card.
