As several wildfires continue to burn and expand near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, St. Louis County authorities have issued new evacuation orders for the Echo Trail area north and west of Ely. People living along the trail between Big Lake and North Arm Road should evacuate immediately.
New “GO” evacuation orders have also been issued for parts of Forest Road. 20 in St. Louis County.
