If you are heading to the fair early, you will want to make sure your rain gear is ready. Showers and a few rumbles of thunder will be possible through early Saturday morning. The good news is that conditions should gradually improve during the afternoon.

As the system moves east, we should see partial clearing develop, allowing temperatures to rise and giving fairgoers some breaks from the clouds and rain.

It will also feel noticeably more humid compared to the past two days, when dew points were only in the 50s. On Saturday, dew points will climb into the upper 60s, making for a much stickier feel.

Don't let a wet start completely change your plans. The forecast improves as we head into the afternoon, and those heading to the fair later today may find considerably better conditions than those arriving first thing this morning.

A rain jacket is still a good idea early on, but by this afternoon, you may be trading it for sunglasses.
