There’s no threat of rain Friday at the Minnesota State Fair, but hot and humid conditions will continue across the region.

 and MPR will be live all day at Dan Patch Park. We hope you can come say hi to the weather team. We have the 30th anniversary of the Mark Seeley weather quiz on stage at 10 a.m. 

On Thursday, it was 90 degrees at the fairgrounds, and thunderstorms had folks fleeing to storm shelters. Friday will be different in at least one respect: There’s no rain threat!

Given the humidity late Thursday night, temperatures didn’t cool that much. We’ll begin Friday in the lower 70s. There may also be some very brief fog by the fairgrounds at Falcon Heights and Roseville. 

There will be abundant sunshine and sunburn risk Friday. Highs will be around 90 and we could sit there from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

While there may be some rain to close out the State Fair, it will not be on Friday or Saturday. There are some rain chances both early Sunday and Monday.
