We remain in a somewhat active pattern this week. A weaker disturbance moves in Wednesday bringing some isolated to spotty showers to mainly central and southern Minnesota but a more potent, soaking system could develop Friday into Friday night.

Total rainfall this week between Monday’s system, Wednesday’s disturbance and the Friday system, could add up to some significant rainfall totals. Up to 2 to 4 total inches could fall, this would wipe out one-quarter to one-third of our rainfall needed to end the drought.
