The Diocese of Duluth has marked the official start of a review process to canonize the late Monsignor Joseph Francis Buh. At a Mass on Tuesday night, the Slovenia-born priest who came to Minnesota in 1864 was named a "Servant of God," the Catholic Church’s first of four steps on the path to sainthood.
MPR News host Clay Masters spoke with Dean Lavato, the director of evangelizing communications and marketing at the Diocese of Duluth, about the technical process of becoming a saint.
