Minnesota has new K-12 academic health standards. What will they look like in the classroom?

Minnesota is poised to adopt its first statewide K-12 health education standards after receiving approval from an Office of Administrative Hearings judge earlier this week. Until now, local districts largely determined how subjects were taught.

MPR News host Clay Masters spoke with Jill Farris, Director of Training and Education at the Center for Healthy Youth Development at the University of Minnesota. She explained the new standards and what they may look like in the classroom.
